march for life.

“if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people to not kill each other? any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use anviolence to get what they want.”

- mother teresa

yesterday, a group of about thirty of us from the catholic center went to the march for life mass and rally in downtown dallas. it has been 38 years since the case that originated in dallas reached the supreme court and triggered the decision that legalized abortion. the cathedral  of guadalupe was mega packed with standing room only in the all of the overflow rooms and tents outside. kneeling alongside 4,000 people during mass was an unforgetable moment. oh, and adoration with the franciscan friars of the renewal was pretty amazing too.

i'm glad you got to experience this!

i'm still a little bummed that we can't go to the national march. but it's only 15 degrees outside today, so i'm not THAT disappointed, haha.

Last year I attended the March for Life in Washington, D.C. for the first time. It was such an amazing experience to fellowship with so many other pro-lifers. I went back again this year, but it was extremely cold. Unfortunately, I think we had about half the people there were last year. A lot of people left early. It was brutal. But I guess y'all don't have to worry about it getting that cold down in Texas!
